  Trainings

Regional Prevention Center staff are trained and certified in a variety of programs and topics. Trainings are offered throughout the year and can be requested for groups by contacting the RPC.

Adult Baseline
This 2 day workshop is intended to increase awareness of the impact of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs on the individual, family, school and community.

Teen Baseline
This 1 day workshop help teens examine their own beliefs and behaviors about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.

Guiding Good Choices
This is a 5 week Parenting Program.

Youth On Boards
This training provides information for youth on how boards operate and explains the importance of the youth perspective.

Tobacco Retailers Training
This training is designed to inform retailers of the current laws and their importance in the community.

Spiceline
This is a1 day workshop to assist older adults and caregivers coping with substance abuse or mismanagement of medications.

 Presentations

Regional Prevention Center staff are available for community presentations regarding prevention, alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Other topics related to substance abuse can also be address, including: teen pregnancy, delinquency, violence, and school drop-out.

Major funding is received through a grant from SRS/Addiction and Prevention Services, special liquor tax funds from the City of Wichita and Sedgwick County, a Federal Drug Free Communities Grant and other miscellaneous funds and donations.
